Co-Produced by FAWN Chamber Creative,
Rock Bottom Movement
and part of a Canadian Music Centre Residency
Devised Workshop November 9-24, 2023
Canadian Music Centre (20 St. Joseph St., Toronto)
Description:
Throughout November, FAWN Chamber Creative and contemporary dance company Rock Bottom Movement are joining forces in a truly collaborative process. Through devised research, they will investigate how to make a genuinely scary show out of opera and dance, exploring thrillingly terrifying themes, sounds, movements, and more. Workshop goals: to figure out how to bring the horror movie experience to the operatic stage!
This devised horror project continues FAWN’s mission to explore alternative methods for creating opera, with its passion for bringing more voices and perspectives into the creation process through interdisciplinary collaboration.
